The Carleton Place Midget AAA Canadians used a sparkling performance by Michael Leach to take down the Nepean Midget AAA Raiders, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Carleton Place Midget AAA's 3-0 shutout victory.

The Canadians pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 10 penalty minutes.

Carleton Place Midget AAA was led by Ryan Bangs, who registered one goal and one assist. Bangs scored 10:43 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Carleton Place Midget AAA. Ryan Shaw picked up the assist.

The Canadians put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Nepean Midget AAA to score on any of its six power plays. Carleton Place Midget AAA's defensive play was more effective than usual against the Raiders. The Canadians gives up 2.1 goals on average per game.

Carleton Place Midget AAA also had goals scored by Reece Bolton and Spencer Marshall, who each put in one. More assists for Carleton Place Midget AAA came via Joey Warywoda and Ryland Mosley, who each chipped in one.

Nepean Midget AAA did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Raiders average 2.8 goals per game.
