Alex Robert gave the Cumberland Midget AAA Grads a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Carleton Place Midget AAA Canadians when he scored 38 seconds into the extra period.

Cumberland Midget AAA came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Grads fell behind 2-0 after a power play goal by Carleton Place Midget AAA's Spencer Marshall at 13:56 in the second period. Cumberland Midget AAA knotted things up at 2-2 on a goal by Alex Wall at 17:17 in the third period.

The Grads got the win on the strength of a great game by Wall, who had two goals and one assist. Wall scored the first of his two goals at 15:32 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Carleton Place Midget AAA. Francois Drouin provided the assist. Wall's next tally made the score 2-2 with 2:43 left in the third period. Roman Cannell picked up the assist.

Cumberland Midget AAA could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.

Cumberland Midget AAA also got points from Robert, who also racked up one goal and one assist. In addition, Cumberland Midget AAA received assists from Adam Goodfellow, who had one.

The Canadians were helped by Skylar Quartermain, who racked up one goal. Quartermain scored 5:00 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Carleton Place Midget AAA. Marshall assisted on the tally. Carleton Place Midget AAA additionally got points from Marshall, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Carleton Place Midget AAA were Liam Markhauser and Reece Bolton, who each chipped in one.

Seth Carter made 18 saves for the Grads on 20 shots. Cumberland Midget AAA registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Chris Cuglietta rejected 15 shots on goal for Carleton Place Midget AAA. The Canadians incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
