The Smiths Falls Midget AAA Bears tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the CIHA Green Midget AAA Green held on for a 2-1 victory.

A goal by Matthew Grouchy put CIHA Green Midget AAA up 2-0 in the third period, but Smiths Falls Midget AAA pulled to within one on Brock Boisclair's tally 19:59 into the third period.

Grouchy had a great game for the Green, netting two goals.

CIHA Green Midget AAA excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Other players who recorded assists for CIHA Green Midget AAA were Trevor Finch and Jacob Roberts, who contributed one each.

The Bears put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Green to score on any of their three power plays.
