Kemptville Midget AAA beats Brockville Midget AAA 4-3 as Holtrop gets hat trick

Joel Holtrop netted a hat trick to lead the Kemptville Midget AAA 73s over the Brockville Midget AAA Braves, 4-3.

Holtrop's first goal came 12:10 into the first period. He then added goals at 9:21 into the third and at 15:44 into the third.

Brockville Midget AAA was unable to stop Kemptville Midget AAA from sending pucks towards the net, and the 73s eventually piled up 42 shots on goal.

Kemptville Midget AAA also got a goal from Brady Elder as well. In addition, Kemptville Midget AAA received assists from Owen Scott, Patrick Yates, John Beaton, Jack York, Mike Armstrong, Jarrett Williams, and Devin Saumur, who each chipped in one.

The Braves were helped by Rocco Barresi, who registered one goal. Barresi scored on the power play 57 seconds into the third period to make the score 1-1. Brockville Midget AAA earned a power play opportunity when Dean Bucciarelli was put in the box for head contact. Cameron Hebert picked up the assist. Brockville Midget AAA also had goals scored by Jacob Willard and Griffin Patterson, who scored one goal each. More assists for Brockville Midget AAA came via Serron Noel, who had two and Brett Lannin, Colin Marshall, and Sutton Allard, who contributed one each.

Nick Bond recorded 13 saves for Kemptville Midget AAA. The 73s incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Braves' Kyle Herbison stopped 38 shots out of the 42 that he faced. Brockville Midget AAA incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
