The OHA U17 Midget AAA OHA U16 tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the CIHA Green Midget AAA Green would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-3.

A goal by Guillaume Pelchat put CIHA Green Midget AAA up 5-2 in the third period, but OHA U17 Midget AAA pulled to within two on Nikita Lopatin's tally 12:04 into the third period.

The Green's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five OHA U17 Midget AAA power plays. CIHA Green Midget AAA bested its season scoring average. This season, the Green average 2.5 goals per contest.

CIHA Green Midget AAA was led by Matthew Grouchy, who had three goals and one assist. CIHA Green Midget AAA also got points from Marc-Andre Lecouffe, who also finished with one goal and two assists and Pelchat, who also registered one goal and two assists. More assists for CIHA Green Midget AAA came via Gregory Rogers, Trevor Finch, Cameron Pound, Linden Spencer, and Jace Lis-DAlessandro, who contributed one each.

The OHA U16 kept the Green's goalie busy throughout the game, and Ethan Hunt made 30 saves on 33 shots.

OHA U17 Midget AAA also got a goal from Thomas Harper as well. In addition, OHA U17 Midget AAA received assists from Robert Howatt, Yanick Leblanc, Cameron Roberts, Tod Philibert, and Sebastien Pugin, who each chipped in one.

CIHA Green Midget AAA incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Dillon Lamarche rejected 13 shots on goal for OHA U17 Midget AAA. The OHA U16 incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
