Kemptville Midget AAA downs CIHA Green Midget AAA, 6-2

Patrick Yates tallied one point to lead the Kemptville Midget AAA 73s to a 6-2 victory over the CIHA Green Midget AAA Green.

Kemptville Midget AAA forced Green's goalies to work all game long, racking up 35 shots and forcing 29 saves. Ethan Hunt made 19 stops and Zachary Kott made 10. The 73s put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow CIHA Green Midget AAA to score on any of its three power plays. Kemptville Midget AAA outdid its season average for goals scored. The 73s average 3.3 goals per game. Kemptville Midget AAA's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Kemptville Midget AAA additionally got points from Zach Cohen, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Ryan Pawlikowski, who also registered one goal and one assist. Kemptville Midget AAA also had goals scored by John Beaton, Jack York, and Jack Walsh, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Kemptville Midget AAA were Mike Armstrong, Joel Holtrop, Jordan Currie, and Devin Saumur, who each chipped in one and Dean Bucciarelli and Brady Elder, who contributed two each.

The Green managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. CIHA Green Midget AAA wound up below its season average of 9.0 penalty minutes per game.

The Green were led by Cole Burton, who had one goal. Burton scored 5:59 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Marc-Andre Lecouffe picked up the assist. CIHA Green Midget AAA also got a goal from Trevor Finch as well. More assists for CIHA Green Midget AAA came via Gregory Rogers and Steve Quint, who each chipped in one.

The 73s' Nick Bond stopped 19 shots out of the 21 that he faced. Kemptville Midget AAA incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
