OHA U17 Midget AAA downs Brockville Midget AAA, 3-1

Curtis Egert racked up one point to lead the OHA U17 Midget AAA OHA U16 to a 3-1 victory over the Brockville Midget AAA Braves.

OHA U17 Midget AAA excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The OHA U16's offense rang up 31 shots on Brockville Midget AAA's net.

OHA U17 Midget AAA also had goals scored by Tim Kobler and Nikita Lopatin, who scored one goal each. More assists for OHA U17 Midget AAA came via Andre Guldbrandsen and Yanick Leblanc, who each chipped in one and Tanner Brown and Nicholas Abbott, who contributed two each.

The Braves' penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled six minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time. Brockville Midget AAA surpassed its season average of 13.0 penalty minutes per game.

The Braves were led by Jacob Shankar, who scored the team's only goal. Shankar scored short handed 10:28 into the third period to make the score 2-1 OHA U17 Midget AAA. Brockville Midget AAA found itself down a man on Colin Marshall's boarding. Cameron Hebert picked up the assist.

Dillon Lamarche rejected 21 shots on goal for OHA U17 Midget AAA. The OHA U16 incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Braves' Ryan Green stopped 28 shots out of the 31 that he faced. For Brockville Midget AAA, Mark Morrison was ejected from the game.
