M1 Syracuse University holds on for 4-3 win against M1 West Virginia UniversityMorgantown Municipal Rink Sat, Jan 16, 2016 The M1 Syracuse University Orange survived a determined comeback attempt by the M1 West Virginia University Mountaineers on the way to a 4-3 win. A goal by Robert VanRaamsdonk put M1 Syracuse University up 4-2 in the third period, but M1 West Virginia University pulled to within one on Jp Sawyer's tally 19:21 into the third period. VanRaamsdonk had two goals to lead the Orange to victory. M1 Syracuse University forced the Mountaineers goalie Benjamin Zienty to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots. Others who scored for M1 Syracuse University included John Ross LaPointe and Benjamin King, who each put in one. More assists for M1 Syracuse University came via Dylan Hantula, Patrick OConnor, Connor McNamara, Mitchell Lesueur, Matthew DiVietro, and Nolan Metzler, who each chipped in one. With 29 shots on target during the contest, M1 West Virginia University exceeded the 1.1 shot it averages per game this year. M1 West Virginia University also got a goal from Tyler Conaway as well. In addition, M1 West Virginia University received assists from Thomas Brooks, Vincent Fornes, Brennen Adams, Nicholas Burt, and James Murray, who contributed one each.
