Francis Asselin had a standout game with 28 saves, and the OHA U18 Midget AAA OHA U17 beat the Pembroke Midget AAA Lumber Kings 5-1.

OHA U18 Midget AAA was sparked by Kyle Foreman, who racked up one goal. Foreman scored 8:13 into the first period to make the score 2-0 OHA U18 Midget AAA. Heath Ford assisted on the tally.

The OHA U17 put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Pembroke Midget AAA to score on any of its three power plays.

OHA U18 Midget AAA also got points from Thomas Chaulk, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Ford, who also had one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. OHA U18 Midget AAA also had goals scored by Josh Kim and Aleck Forcier, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for OHA U18 Midget AAA were Jon Vandermolen, who had one and Lucas Roy, who had two.

The Lumber Kings excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Pembroke Midget AAA was led by Jackson Norlock, who scored the team's only goal. Norlock scored 1:42 into the second period to make the score 3-1 OHA U18 Midget AAA. Andre Simard picked up the assist.

OHA U18 Midget AAA incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Darian McTavish made 20 saves for the Lumber Kings on 25 shots. Pembroke Midget AAA incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
