The Pembroke Midget AAA Lumber Kings tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the CIHA Green Midget AAA Green held on for a 3-2 victory.

CIHA Green Midget AAA made the score 3-0 on a goal by James Hounsome at 9:17 in the first period, and Pembroke Midget AAA got as close as 3-2 when Payton Jardine scored 11:21 into the third period.

The Green were sparked by Steve Quint, who tallied one goal. Quint scored 9:02 into the first period to make the score 2-0 CIHA Green Midget AAA. Linden Spencer assisted on the tally.

CIHA Green Midget AAA forced Lumber Kings' goalies to work between the pipes, finishing with 32 shots and forcing 29 saves. Darian McTavish made 12 stops and Jake Smith made 17.

Jacob Roberts also scored for CIHA Green Midget AAA. More assists for CIHA Green Midget AAA came via Matthew Grouchy, Cameron Pound, and Marc-Andre Lecouffe, who each chipped in one.

The Lumber Kings put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Green to score on any of their five power plays.

In addition, Pembroke Midget AAA received assists from Connor Fulton and Noah Maika, who contributed one each.

Ethan Hunt made 18 saves for CIHA Green Midget AAA on 20 shots. The Green incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Pembroke Midget AAA incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
