Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the OHA U18 Midget AAA OHA U17 defeated the OHA U17 Midget AAA OHA U16 in a shootout 4-3 (2-1 SO).

The OHA U17 saw a two-goal lead disappear, but was able to secure the win in a shootout. OHA U18 Midget AAA made the score 2-0 on a goal by Adam Porter at 14:53 in the second period. The OHA U16 evened things up at 3-3 on a goal by Kyle Foreman at 19:13 in the third period.

The OHA U17 excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. OHA U18 Midget AAA's offense rang up 50 shots on OHA U17 Midget AAA's net. The OHA U17 could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

OHA U18 Midget AAA was helped by Justin Cheng, who had one goal. Cheng scored 4:31 into the first period to make the score 1-0 OHA U18 Midget AAA. More assists for OHA U18 Midget AAA came via Thomas Chaulk, Heath Ford, and Egidio Porreca, who each chipped in one.

The OHA U16 stifled the OHA U17's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. OHA U17 Midget AAA forced OHA U18 Midget AAA goalie Danick Francoeur to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. The OHA U16's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as OHA U17 Midget AAA finished with 20 penalty minutes.

The OHA U16 were helped by Shane Ford, who grabbed one goal. Ford scored 8:57 into the third period to make the score 2-1 OHA U18 Midget AAA. Tod Philibert assisted on the tally. OHA U17 Midget AAA also had goals scored by Callaghan and Yanick Leblanc, who scored one goal each. In addition, OHA U17 Midget AAA received assists from Sebastien Pugin, who had two and Matthew Briggs and Curtis Egert, who contributed one each.

Francoeur recorded 34 saves for the OHA U17. OHA U18 Midget AAA registered zero goals on eight power play opportunities. Dillon Lamarche made 46 saves for OHA U17 Midget AAA on 49 shots.
