Ottawa Midget AAA uses shootout to best Brockville Midget AAA, 3-2 (1-0 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the Ottawa Midget AAA Senators defeated the Brockville Midget AAA Braves in a shootout 3-2 (1-0 SO).

The shootout featured six attempts between both teams.

Ottawa Midget AAA saw a two-goal lead disappear, but was able to secure the win in a shootout. The Senators made the score 2-0 on a goal by Adrien Bisson at 12:06 in the second period. Brockville Midget AAA evened things up at 2-2 on a goal by Griffin Patterson at 18:46 in the third period.

Ottawa Midget AAA was helped by Cameron Scrivens, who tallied one goal. Scrivens scored 9:09 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Ottawa Midget AAA. Jean-Sylvain Boyer picked up the assist. More assists for Ottawa Midget AAA came via Tyler Villeneuve, who had one.

The Braves put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Senators to score on any of their four power plays. Brockville Midget AAA's offense rang up 33 shots on Ottawa Midget AAA's net. The Braves' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Brockville Midget AAA finished with 14 penalty minutes.

The Braves were led by Cameron Hebert, who registered one goal and one assist. Hebert scored 3:07 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Ottawa Midget AAA.

Cedrick Andree rejected 31 shots on goal for the Senators. Ottawa Midget AAA ended with 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major. The Senators ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Wade Brennan was ejected from the game. Ryan Green made 23 saves for Brockville Midget AAA on 25 shots. The Braves registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
