Huge game by Hanuman boosts Smiling Penguins over Maddies Monsters, 12-4

Smiling Penguins' Adam Hanuman had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing four assists in his team's 12-4 win over Maddies Monsters.

Hanuman found the back of the net 6:07 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Smiling Penguins and again while 12:45 into the first to make the score 5-1 Smiling Penguins.

Maddies Monsters was unable to stop Smiling Penguins from sending pucks towards the net, and Smiling Penguins eventually piled up 43 shots on goal. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with four goals.

Smiling Penguins also got points from Chung Wai Tam, who also registered two goals and four assists, Sanjay Mahindru, who also grabbed two goals and one assist, Ryan Hanuman, who also finished with one goal and three assists, and Babak Filsoof, who also tallied five goals and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Smiling Penguins received assists from Michael Der, who had one, Melvin Dang, who had two, and Eiji Nukina, who had three.

Maddies Monsters was helped by Albert Ng, who had one goal and one assist. Ng scored 2:33 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Yuan Yeh picked up the assist. Others who scored for Maddies Monsters included Ryan Spolowicz, Chris Walkowiak, and Jason Ng, who scored one goal each. More assists for Maddies Monsters came via David Guo, who had two and Geoffrey Hong and Neal Moretti, who each chipped in one.

Michael Der made 18 saves for Smiling Penguins on 22 shots. Smiling Penguins incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities. Kevin Ng recorded 31 saves for Maddies Monsters. Maddies Monsters ended with no penalties and went 1-for-2 on the power play.
