RMC's comeback falls short, Fighting Mongoose wins 4-3

RMC almost clawed its way back from a three-goal deficit, but Fighting Mongoose managed to pull out a 4-3 win in the end.

Fighting Mongoose led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Fighting Mongoose's Justen Dekam scored at 5:25 in the second period to put Fighting Mongoose up 4-1.

Dekam had a great game for Fighting Mongoose, netting two goals.

Fighting Mongoose's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Fighting Mongoose additionally got points from Greg Fritz, who also registered one goal and one assist. Neil Espeleta also scored for Fighting Mongoose. In addition, Fighting Mongoose received assists from Trevor Welsh and Adrian Cremayer, who each chipped in one.

RMC did not rack up many penalties in the contest, racking up only one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

RMC was helped by James Ujimoto, who had one goal. Ujimoto scored 8:38 into the first period to make the score 1-0 RMC. Edmund Chow picked up the assist. RMC also had goals scored by Cheuk Him Lee and Jesse Rankin, who scored one goal each. More assists for RMC came via Gurbir Gary Gill, who had one.

Haydn Evans made 19 saves for Fighting Mongoose on 22 shots. Fighting Mongoose incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Amritpal Gill rejected 17 shots on goal for RMC. RMC registered one goal on two power play opportunities.
