Huge game by Grandmont boosts Hawkesbury Midget AAA over CIHA Green Midget AAA, 7-3

Mathieu Grandmont was all over the ice for the Hawkesbury Midget AAA Hawks, as he tallied four goals and one assist in Hawkesbury Midget AAA's 7-3 win over the CIHA Green Midget AAA Green.

Grandmont's first goal came 8:54 into the first period. He then added goals at 19:47 into the second, at 54 seconds into the third, and at 7:20 into the third.

The Hawks surpassed their usual scoring output this season. This season, Hawkesbury Midget AAA averages 2.3 goals per contest.

Hawkesbury Midget AAA additionally got points from Ryan Wells, who also had one goal and two assists. Hawkesbury Midget AAA also had goals scored by Tyler Boivin and Nathan Sauve, who scored one goal each. In addition, Hawkesbury Midget AAA received assists from Brett Romain, who had one and Alex Elie, Adam Levesque, Cedric Roth, and Brandon Legare, who each chipped in two.

CIHA Green Midget AAA was helped by Linden Spencer, who tallied one goal. Spencer scored 19:51 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Jace Lis-DAlessandro assisted on the tally. CIHA Green Midget AAA also got points from Matthew Grouchy, who also registered one goal and one assist and Jacob Roberts, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for CIHA Green Midget AAA came via River Gull and Trevor Finch, who contributed one each.

Alex Labreche made 18 saves for the Hawks on 21 shots. Hawkesbury Midget AAA incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Ethan Hunt took the loss and made 13 saves before being replaced by Zachary Kott who made six saves. The Green incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
