Brockville Midget AAA completes comeback, beats Hawkesbury Midget AAA, 5-3

The Brockville Midget AAA Braves rallied from three goals down to secure a 5-3 win over the Hawkesbury Midget AAA Hawks.

Brockville Midget AAA never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Braves fell behind 3-0 after a power play goal by Hawkesbury Midget AAA's Brett Romain at 4:40 in the second period. Brockville Midget AAA knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Gary Hicks at 8:25 in the second period. The Braves netted the game winner at 6:23 in the third period on a goal by Hicks.

Hicks had two goals to lead Brockville Midget AAA to victory.

The Braves outdid their season average for goals scored. Brockville Midget AAA averages 2.7 goals per game. The Braves' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Brockville Midget AAA additionally got points from Jacob Shankar, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Brockville Midget AAA also had goals scored by Griffin Patterson and Mark Morrison, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Brockville Midget AAA were Jared Patterson, who had one and Cameron Hebert, who had three.

Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

The Hawks were helped by Liam Calder, who had one goal. Calder scored on the power play 5:57 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Hawkesbury Midget AAA. Hawkesbury Midget AAA had gained a power play chance when Rocco Barresi was whistled for head contact. Nathan Sauve picked up the assist. Hawkesbury Midget AAA also got points from Tyler Boivin, who also finished with one goal and one assist.

Kyle Herbison made 21 saves for Brockville Midget AAA on 24 shots. The Braves incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Alex Labreche rejected 25 shots on goal for the Hawks. Hawkesbury Midget AAA incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
