Tyler Orban tallied two points to lead the Kanata Midget AAA Lasers to a 4-1 victory over the Pembroke Midget AAA Lumber Kings.

Kanata Midget AAA's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Pembroke Midget AAA power plays. The defensemen of the Lasers were also effective in Pembroke Midget AAA's zone, and came away with three goals.

Others who scored for Kanata Midget AAA included Ross Campbell, Ty Gauthier, and Adam Church, who scored one goal each. More assists for Kanata Midget AAA came via Bennett Stockdale, who had two and David Silye, Luca Nocita, Daniel McIntyre, and Brian Bygrave, who contributed one each.

The Lumber Kings' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Pembroke Midget AAA finished with 14 penalty minutes.

The Lumber Kings were led by Payton Jardine, who scored the team's only goal. Jardine scored short handed 10:29 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Kanata Midget AAA. Pembroke Midget AAA was on a disadvantage when Bailey McIntyre went off the ice for head contact. Lawson Leclaire picked up the assist.

Jean-Philippe Tourigny made 17 saves for Kanata Midget AAA on 18 shots. The Lasers incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Jake Smith rejected 19 shots on goal for the Lumber Kings.
