The Pembroke Midget AAA Lumber Kings climbed out of a two-goal hole to beat the Cornwall Midget AAA Colts, 4-3.

Pembroke Midget AAA let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a two hole to pick up the win. The Lumber Kings took a 1-0 advantage on a goal by Reid Barber at 7:35 in the second period. Pembroke Midget AAA found itself down 3-1 after Cornwall Midget AAA's Ryan Lamer put the puck home at 7:05 in the third period. After knotting things up at 3-3 on a goal by Jackson Norlock at 17:05 in the third, the Lumber Kings got the game-winner from Tyler Dyke at 17:36 in the third period.

Pembroke Midget AAA was led by Dyke, who racked up one goal.

The Lumber Kings put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Colts to score on any of their four power plays. Pembroke Midget AAA could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

Pembroke Midget AAA also got points from Payton Jardine, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Pembroke Midget AAA were Andre Simard, who had two and Lawson Leclaire, Noah Maika, and Brad Richardson, who contributed one each.

Cornwall Midget AAA could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Colts were helped by Joseph Samson, who registered one goal and one assist. Samson scored 8:17 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Lamer picked up the assist. Cornwall Midget AAA additionally got points from Lamer, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Cornwall Midget AAA also got a goal from Hunter Duchesne as well. In addition, Cornwall Midget AAA received assists from Samuel Ferland and Ryan Vipond, who each chipped in one.

Darian McTavish rejected 22 shots on goal for the Lumber Kings. Pembroke Midget AAA registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Cornwall Midget AAA's Grant Craig stopped 18 shots out of the 22 that he faced.
