BARRIE wins tough contest against OTTAWA, 3-2Bell Sensplex-Canadian Tire Sat, Dec 19, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
In a game where neither team could get a cushion, BARRIE escaped with a 3-2 victory over OTTAWA. No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Kara Washer (A) at 4:51 of the third period. Washer (A) had a great game for BARRIE, netting two goals. BARRIE stifled OTTAWA's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. BARRIE also got a goal from Avery Reeves (A) as well. More assists for BARRIE came via Michelle Morrison (A), Danika Phillips (C), Delaney Pritchard, and Chloe Pilote, who contributed one each. OTTAWA forced BARRIE goalie Alyssa Moyer to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. OTTAWA was helped by Shana Alexander, who racked up two goals. Alexander scored the first of her two goals at 9:48 into the first period to make the score 1-0 OTTAWA. Sophie Veronneau (A) picked up the assist.
