WHITBY beats BARRIE 3-2 after comeback scare

BARRIE tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but WHITBY held on for a 3-2 victory.

WHITBY took a 3-1 lead during the third period, only to have BARRIE storm back on a Kara Washer (A) goal 11:30 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

WHITBY was sparked by Katie Mikkelsen, who racked up one goal. Mikkelsen scored 4:37 into the third period to make the score 3-1 WHITBY. Brooke McQuigge provided the assist.

WHITBY managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. WHITBY ended up below its season average of 6.0 penalty minutes per game. WHITBY's offense rang up 32 shots on BARRIE's net.

Others who scored for WHITBY included Alicia Pallister and Adrianna Noble (PU), who each put in one. In addition, WHITBY received assists from Brooklyn Bastarache, Kristy Millson (PU), and Breanna Bedborough, who each chipped in one.
