CAMBRIDGE rolls over OTTAWA, 4-1

CAMBRIDGE had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over OTTAWA.

CAMBRIDGE was led by Rachael Irvine, who tallied one goal and one assist. Irvine scored 11:44 into the first period to make the score 2-1 CAMBRIDGE. Natasha Costello provided the assist.

CAMBRIDGE's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three OTTAWA power plays. CAMBRIDGE forced OTTAWA goalie Jennifer Walker to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

CAMBRIDGE also got points from Carly AuCoin, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for CAMBRIDGE included Melissa Bieman (PU) and Kati Tabin, who scored one goal each. In addition, CAMBRIDGE received assists from Teagan Gartley, Alyssa Chiarello, and Meghan Anton, who each chipped in one.

CAMBRIDGE's defense shut down OTTAWA's forwards for much of the game, and OTTAWA got off only eight shots during the contest.

OTTAWA was led by Katherine Chadwick, who scored the team's only goal. Chadwick scored 3:59 into the first period to make the score 1-0 OTTAWA. Sophie Veronneau picked up the assist.

Alexx Ridding made seven saves for CAMBRIDGE on eight shots. CAMBRIDGE incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Walker recorded 28 saves for OTTAWA. OTTAWA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
