OHA U17 Midget AAA rolls over CIHA White Midget AAA, 7-2

The OHA U17 Midget AAA OHA U16 had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-2 win over the CIHA White Midget AAA White.

OHA U17 Midget AAA got the win with help from a great game by Curtis Egert, who had one goal and two assists. Egert scored 6:41 into the first period to make the score 1-0 OHA U17 Midget AAA. Tod Philibert picked up the assist.

CIHA White Midget AAA was unable to stop the OHA U16 from sending pucks towards the net, and OHA U17 Midget AAA eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. The OHA U16 surpassed their usual scoring output this season. OHA U17 Midget AAA averages 2.1 goals per game.

OHA U17 Midget AAA also got points from Robert Howatt, who also had one goal and one assist, Philibert, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Tim Kobler, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Others who scored for OHA U17 Midget AAA included Andre Guldbrandsen, Yanick Leblanc, and Nash McLean, who each put in one. In addition, OHA U17 Midget AAA received assists from Kyle Foreman, Cameron Roberts, and Dylan Coffey, who contributed one each and Thomas Callaghan and Shane Ford, who each chipped in two.

The White were helped by Kenshin Hayashi, who had one goal. Hayashi scored 10:38 into the second period to make the score 4-2 OHA U17 Midget AAA. Seva Losev provided the assist. CIHA White Midget AAA also got a goal from Jeremy Vasquez as well. More assists for CIHA White Midget AAA came via Braeden-Jay Wynne, who had two.

The OHA U16's Tyler Caseley stopped 24 shots out of the 26 that he faced. OHA U17 Midget AAA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Olivier Pimpare-Charbonneau rejected 30 shots on goal for CIHA White Midget AAA. The White incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
