McMahon leads Smiths Falls Midget AAA over Nepean Midget AAA, 6-2

Dylan McMahon had two goals and two assists to lead the Smiths Falls Midget AAA Bears to a 6-2 victory over the Nepean Midget AAA Raiders.

McMahon found the back of the net 3:39 into the second period to make the score 1-1 and again while 11:30 into the third to make the score 3-2 Smiths Falls Midget AAA.

Nepean Midget AAA was unable to stop Smiths Falls Midget AAA from sending pucks towards the net, and the Bears eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. Smiths Falls Midget AAA found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Bears have scored at the pace of 2.9 goals per game during the current campaign.

Smiths Falls Midget AAA also got points from Chris Bernard, who also had one goal and one assist and Matthew Bidin, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Smiths Falls Midget AAA included Brock Boisclair and Connor Drost, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Smiths Falls Midget AAA were Willem Larsen, who had one and Sebastien Semerdjiev, who had two.

The Raiders forced Smiths Falls Midget AAA goalie Alex Zoutis to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots.

Nepean Midget AAA was helped by Ryan Kaufman, who registered one goal. Kaufman scored 7:19 into the third period to make the score 2-2. JJ Boucher picked up the assist. Nepean Midget AAA also got a goal from Mackenzie White as well. In addition, Nepean Midget AAA received assists from Paul Larabie and Aidan Harris, who each chipped in one.

Alex Zoutis made 34 saves for the Bears on 36 shots. Smiths Falls Midget AAA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Raiders' Anand Oberoi stopped 28 shots out of the 32 that he faced. Nepean Midget AAA incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
