M1 Rochester Institute of Technolo holds on for 5-4 win against M1 Saint Bonaventure University

The M1 Rochester Institute of Technolo Tigers survived a determined comeback attempt by the M1 Saint Bonaventure University Bonnies on the way to a 5-4 win.

M1 Rochester Institute of Technolo made the score 5-2 on a goal by Brendan Solinski at 9:53 in the third period, and M1 Saint Bonaventure University got as close as 5-4 when Nate Parker scored 16:39 into the third period.

The Tigers got the win with help from a great game by Cody Zajaczkowski, who had one goal and two assists. Zajaczkowski scored 3:33 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Michael Leardi picked up the assist.

M1 Rochester Institute of Technolo surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Tigers average 2.5 goals per contest. M1 Rochester Institute of Technolo had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just two goals on nine chances. The Tigers' offense was clicking better than usual and put 44 shots on goal during the game, better than the 0.2 shots per game they average. M1 Rochester Institute of Technolo found itself short handed often, totaling 14 penalty minutes and allowing six power plays.

M1 Rochester Institute of Technolo also got points from Nicholas Washco, who also registered one goal and one assist. M1 Rochester Institute of Technolo also had goals scored by Jacob Zaremski and Sean Bellefeuille, who scored one goal each. More assists for M1 Rochester Institute of Technolo came via Nick Miller, Jacob Pincus, Adam Kristan, and Kenny Luzak, who each chipped in one.

A roughing penalty on Kristan had put M1 Saint Bonaventure University on the power play. John Rogers provided the assist. Others who scored for M1 Saint Bonaventure University included Connor Moore and Tyler Gokey, who each put in one. In addition, M1 Saint Bonaventure University received assists from Ethan Mackrell, Sean Devine, and Andrew Hayn, who contributed one each.

Gavin Lewis rejected 34 shots on goal for the Tigers. Alex Feyche recorded 39 saves for the Bonnies.
