In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the M1 West Virginia University Mountaineers escaped with a 4-2 victory over the M1 Rochester Institute of Technolo Tigers.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Nicholas Burt secured the win for M1 West Virginia University with a goal in the third period.

The Mountaineers pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 30 penalty minutes.

M1 West Virginia University was led by Burt, who registered one goal. Burt scored on the power play 2:01 into the third period to make the score 3-2 M1 West Virginia University.
