Mississippi RiverKings outlasts Peoria, 4-2

The game between Mississippi RiverKings and the Peoria Rivermen was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Mississippi RiverKings emerged with a 4-2 win.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Linden Bahm at 10:12 of the third period.

Bahm had a great game for Mississippi RiverKings, netting two goals.

Mississippi RiverKings' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Peoria power plays.

Mississippi RiverKings additionally got points from Devin Mantha, who also registered one goal and one assist. Tim Boyle also scored for Mississippi RiverKings. In addition, Mississippi RiverKings received assists from Benjamin Rubin, Mark Pustin, and Mike Grace, who each chipped in one.

Peoria stifled Mississippi RiverKings' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

The Rivermen were helped by Matt Summers, who grabbed one goal. Summers scored 2:27 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Dan Bremner assisted on the tally. Peoria also got a goal from Garrett Vermeersch as well. More assists for Peoria came via Christian Weidauer and Michael Slowikowski, who contributed one each.

Peter Di Salvo recorded 26 saves for Mississippi RiverKings. Mississippi RiverKings totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 0-for-3 on the power play. Peoria's Francois Brassard stopped 21 shots out of the 25 that he faced. The Rivermen ended with 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major.
