Mississippi RiverKings downs Macon Mayhem, 5-2

Mike Grace tallied one point to lead Mississippi RiverKings to a 5-2 victory over Macon Mayhem.

Mississippi RiverKings relied heavily on its defensemen to assist its forwards, and the blueliners responded by scoring two goals on 18 shots. With 43 shots on target during the contest, Mississippi RiverKings exceeded the 31.1 shots it averages per game this year.

Mississippi RiverKings additionally got points from Dean Willmott, who also registered one goal and one assist, Devin Mantha, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Mark Pustin, who also had one goal and one assist. Benjamin Rubin also scored for Mississippi RiverKings. More assists for Mississippi RiverKings came via Ian Young, who had two and Michael Beaudry, Charles Mosey, and Matt Harrington, who contributed one each.

Macon Mayhem relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Shawn Skelly, Vadim Guskov and Joshua Ranalli took 13 of the team's 25 shots.

Macon Mayhem also got a goal from Lucas LaBelle as well. In addition, Macon Mayhem received assists from Curtis Megginson and Connor P. Toomey, who each chipped in one.

Mississippi RiverKings' Matt Grogan stopped 23 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Mississippi RiverKings incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Garrett Bartus recorded 38 saves for Macon Mayhem. Macon Mayhem incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
