Amherstview downs Campbellford, 7-4

Adam Kim racked up one point to lead the Amherstview Jets to a 7-4 victory over the Campbellford Rebels.

In a losing effort, Campbellford was paced by Ethan McDougall, who had two goals. McDougall scored the first of his two goals at 7:00 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Jeremiah Doherty picked up the assist. McDougall's next tally made the score 6-5 Amherstview with 2:06 left in the third period. Graiden Maynard provided the assist.

The Rebels were unable to stop Amherstview from sending pucks towards the net, and the Jets eventually piled up 47 shots on goal. Amherstview could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.

Amherstview also got points from Adam Alcorn, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Brett Yake, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Jordan Howe, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Zach Maciel also scored for Amherstview. In addition, Amherstview received assists from Max Brunner, who had three and Konner Burtenshaw, Cody Jodoin, and Joey Mayer, who each chipped in one.

Campbellford additionally got points from Tarbutt Matt, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Campbellford also had goals scored by Riley McGuire and Jacob Trotter, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Campbellford were Robby Ellis, who had one.

The Jets' Ryan Kaszuba stopped 26 shots out of the 30 that he faced. Amherstview registered zero goals on one power play opportunities. The Jets ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Dawson Chard was ejected from the game. Fregonas Eric made 40 saves for Campbellford on 46 shots. The Rebels incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
