The Amherstview Jets survived a determined comeback attempt by the Campbellford Rebels on the way to a 4-3 win. Amherstview made the score 4-1 on a goal by Cody Smith at 17:05 in the second period, and Campbellford got as close as 4-3 when Ethan McDougall scored 3:27 into the third period. The Jets were paced by Dawson Chard, who racked up one goal. Chard scored 6:32 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Amherstview. Brett Yake picked up the assist. Amherstview was often in penalty trouble, totaling six minors and one major for 37 minutes in penalty time. The Jets had been averaging 20.0 minutes in penalties per game. Amherstview forced the Rebels goalie Cole Mahoney to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. Amherstview also had goals scored by Zach Maciel and Max Brunner, who each put in one. In addition, Amherstview received assists from Konner Burtenshaw, Cody Jodoin, and Joey Mayer, who contributed one each. Campbellford put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Jets to score on any of their three power plays. Amherstview was unable to stop the Rebels from sending pucks towards the net, and Campbellford eventually piled up 44 shots on goal. The Rebels were led by Caleb Crothers, who grabbed one goal and two assists. Crothers scored 6:20 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Tarbutt Matt provided the assist. Connor Petherick also scored for Campbellford. More assists for Campbellford came via Graiden Maynard, who had two. Adam Redgate rejected 41 shots on goal for the Jets. For Amherstview, Smith was ejected from the game. Cole Mahoney made 36 saves for Campbellford on 40 shots. The Rebels totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. Campbellford ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Robby Ellis was ejected from the game.
