The Amherstview Jets and the Napanee Raiders skate to 3-3 (OT) tieWJ Henderson Rec. Centre Sun, Nov 22, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Even though Napanee's Tyler Romain netted two goals and Ryley Richardson contributed two points, the Raiders was held to a tie by Amherstview, 3-3 (OT). The Jets' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Napanee power plays. Amherstview did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Jets average 5.2 goals per game. Amherstview forced Napanee goalie Cameron Parr to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots. The Jets were helped by Adam Kim, who finished with one goal. Kim scored 10:44 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Amherstview. Zach Maciel picked up the assist. Amherstview also had goals scored by Wyatt Crampton and Jordan Howe, who each put in one. In addition, Amherstview received assists from Dorian Overland, who had two and Cody Smith, Joey Mayer, and Cosimo Morin, who each chipped in one. The Raiders stifled Amherstview's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Napanee's offense rang up 34 shots on the Jets' net. Napanee also got points from Richardson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. More assists for Napanee came via Riley Steeves, Cullen Hinds, Austin Boulard, Nicolas Schuler, and Will Peirson, who contributed one each. Amherstview's Adam Redgate stopped 31 shots out of the 34 that he faced. The Jets incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Team's Alex Rice and Dawson Chard were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. Cameron Parr made 38 saves for the Raiders on 41 shots. Napanee incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
