The Gananoque Islanders' Ryosuke Kabayashi scored 20 seconds into overtime to beat the Picton Pirates, 3-2 (OT).

Gananoque was sparked by Kabayashi, who finished with one goal.

The Islanders forced Picton goalie Charles Grimard to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots.

Gananoque additionally got points from Chris Boushy, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Gananoque also got a goal from Matt Carter as well. More assists for Gananoque came via Brody Cross and Brenden Lochead, who contributed one each.

The Pirates kept Gananoque's goalie busy throughout the game, and Troy Paquette made 34 saves on 36 shots.

Picton was helped by Zack Harris, who had one goal. Harris scored 8:57 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Tye Eaton assisted on the tally. Mitchell Merry also scored for Picton. In addition, Picton received assists from Mitch Thompson, Will Harrison, and Devin McCann, who each chipped in one.

The Islanders incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Grimard recorded 36 saves for the Pirates. Picton incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
