St. Andrews College rolls over Nichols School, 5-1Nichols School Wed, Dec 09, 2015 The St. Andrews College Saints were firing on all cylinders against the Nichols School Vikings, and when the final buzzer sounded Saints emerged with a 5-1 win. St. Andrews College was led by goalie Kristian Hufsky, who finished with 25 saves while allowing one goal. Hufsky managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.52 prior to the game. Nichols School's power play was ineffective against the Saints' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. St. Andrews College kept the Vikings' goalie busy throughout the game, and Jerry Baerwitz made 33 saves on 38 shots. The Saints could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game. St. Andrews College was helped by Regan Kimens, who grabbed one goal. Kimens scored 4:20 into the first period to make the score 2-0 St. Andrews College. William Sirman assisted on the tally. St. Andrews College also got points from Kody Clark, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Morgan Barron, who also racked up two goals and one assist. Alex MacDonald also scored for St. Andrews College. In addition, St. Andrews College received assists from Mitchell Martan, who had three and Lucas Thorne, Corey Andonovski, and Jacob Ledson, who each chipped in one. Nichols School also got a goal from Matt Gasuik as well. More assists for Nichols School came via Brett Willits and Erik Urbank, who contributed one each. The Saints registered two goals on four power play opportunities. Nichols School incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
