Hill's hat trick boosts Ridley College over St. Andrews College, 4-2Wilder Arena Complex Sun, Nov 22, 2015 The St. Andrews College Saints could not stop the Ridley College Tigers' Connor Hill, who tallied a hat trick in a 4-2 win. Hill notched his first tally 6:35 into the second period. He then added goals at 8:13 into the second and at 8:04 into the third.Ridley College put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow St. Andrews College to score on any of its four power plays. Ridley College also got a goal from Brandon Skubel as well. In addition, Ridley College received assists from Hunter Bettens, Adam Pys, Zack McGrath, Will Lochead, and Matvey Skripchenko, who each chipped in one. The Saints' offense operated below their season average. St. Andrews College puts an average of 5.0 pucks into the net per game. The Saints forced the Tigers goalie Chris McGonigle to work between the pipes, taking 54 shots. St. Andrews College's penalty kill unit could not stop Ridley College's power play, which converted on two of three opportunities. The Saints were helped by Alex MacDonald, who finished with one goal. MacDonald scored 2:30 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Ridley College. Lucas Thorne assisted on the tally. William Sirman also scored for St. Andrews College. More assists for St. Andrews College came via Mack Falconer and Reid Yochim, who contributed one each. McGonigle rejected 52 shots on goal for the Tigers. Ridley College incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. St. Andrews College's Cole Chapman stopped 22 shots out of the 26 that he faced. The Saints incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
