Northwood School wins tough contest against St. Andrews College, 3-2

Northwood School and the St. Andrews College Saints were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Northwood School made the most of its opportunities and won, 3-2.

No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Aleksi Peltonen at 13:38 of the third period.

Northwood School was sparked by Peltonen, who tallied one goal.

Northwood School's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four St. Andrews College power plays.

Others who scored for Northwood School included Hayden Hart and Jonathan Entelisano, who each put in one. In addition, Northwood School received assists from Nicholas Ormon, Jimmy Green, Malcolm Arseneau, Alec Beaudin-Touga, and Lukas Hilding, who each chipped in one.

St. Andrews College excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Saints did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. St. Andrews College puts an average of 4.3 pucks into the net per game.

The Saints were helped by Alex MacDonald, who finished with one goal. MacDonald scored short handed 4:17 into the second period to make the score 1-1. St. Andrews College was on a disadvantage when Reid Yochim went off the ice for holding. Jacob Miller picked up the assist. Morgan Barron also scored for St. Andrews College. Other players who recorded assists for St. Andrews College were Kody Clark and Regan Kimens, who contributed one each.

Northwood School's Matthew Petition stopped 28 shots out of the 30 that he faced. Northwood School incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Cole Chapman made 24 saves for the Saints on 27 shots. St. Andrews College incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
