Bridgton Academy beats St. Andrews College 9-7 after comeback scare

Bridgton Academy survived a determined comeback attempt by the St. Andrews College Saints on the way to a 9-7 win.

Bridgton Academy made the score 8-4 on a goal by Shane Foye at 6:11 in the third period, and St. Andrews College got as close as 8-6 when Jacob Miller scored 18:36 into the third period.

Bridgton Academy was helped by Colin Quinn, who had three goals and two assists. Bridgton Academy also got points from Olivier Roy, who also registered one goal and one assist and Dany Coulombe, who also tallied two goals and three assists to lead the team in points. Bridgton Academy also had goals scored by Matthew Curran and Isaac Bosse, who each put in one. More assists for Bridgton Academy came via Tomas Kadlec and Corey Moses, who contributed one each.

Bridgton Academy was unable to stop the Saints from sending pucks towards the net, and St. Andrews College eventually piled up 40 shots on goal.

The Saints were helped by Regan Kimens, who racked up three goals. St. Andrews College additionally got points from Kody Clark, who also grabbed one goal and two assists and Corey Andonovski, who also had one goal and two assists. St. Andrews College also got a goal from Lucas Thorne as well. In addition, St. Andrews College received assists from Morgan Barron, who had two and Otto Saarimaa and Connor Ali, who each chipped in one.

David Zulauf rejected 33 shots on goal for Bridgton Academy. Bridgton Academy incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Kristian Hufsky took the loss and made 11 saves before being replaced by Cole Chapman who made nine saves. St. Andrews College incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
