The Dundas Real McCoys' Shawn Snider had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing five assists in his team's 8-3 win over the Hamilton Steelhawks. Snider got on the board by slotting home a goal 5:57 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Dundas. Chris Hulit picked up the assist. Snider dished an assist on Simon Mangos's goal that made the score 1-0 Dundas at 5:02 into the first period. He then added assists on Cam Watson's goal at 14:51 into the first, on Watson's goal at 8:35 into the second, on Hulit's goal at 18:53 into the second, and on Hulit's goal at 16:05 into the third.Dundas forced Hamilton's goaltenders to work without much rest, getting 47 shots and forcing 39 saves. Tim Rogers made 10 stops and Ben Goss made 29. The Real McCoys put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Steelhawks to score on any of their three power plays. Dundas found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Real McCoys average 4.0 goals per contest. Dundas additionally got points from Watson, who also finished with two goals and three assists and Hulit, who also finished with two goals and two assists. Others who scored for Dundas included Chris McGuffin and Brent Vandenberg, who scored one goal each. In addition, Dundas received assists from Jake Laplante, Beni Berisha, and Trevor Atkinson, who each chipped in one. Dundas was unable to stop Hamilton from sending pucks towards the net, and the Steelhawks eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. Hamilton was led by Steve Guzzo, who registered two goals. Guzzo scored the first of his two goals at 19:43 into the first period to make the score 4-1 Dundas. Colin Isnor provided the assist. Guzzo's next tally made the score 7-2 Dundas with 14:15 left in the third period. Kyle McQuade picked up the assist. Gary Clarke also scored for Hamilton. More assists for Hamilton came via Cody Wilson, Kevin Rebelo, and Joel Petkoff, who contributed one each. Mike Mole rejected 39 shots on goal for the Real McCoys. Dundas incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Steelhawks incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
