The Hamilton Steelhawks could not stop the Brantford Blast's Brandon Dietrich, who tallied a hat trick in a 7-4 win. Dietrich's first goal came 5:59 into the first period. Mark Rodgers also scored for Hamilton. More assists for Hamilton came via Kyle McQuade, who had three. Brantford's Brett Leggat stopped 26 shots out of the 30 that he faced. The Blast incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Steelhawks incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
