The Stoney Creek Generals had a seven-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 10-3 win over the Hamilton Steelhawks. Sean Blanchard quarterbacked Stoney Creek's offense to perfection and bagged five assists in the Generals' win over Hamilton. Stoney Creek forced Steelhawks' goaltenders to work between the pipes, racking up 44 shots and forcing 34 saves. Jeff Heartwell made 24 stops and Tim Rogers made 10. The Generals excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Stoney Creek surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Generals average 7.0 goals per game.
