Nosad nets hat trick, leads Alliston to 9-2 win over Stayner

Stephen Nosad lifted the Alliston Hornets to a 9-2 victory with a hat trick against the Stayner Siskins.

Nosad's first goal came 1:23 into the first period. He then added goals at 16:43 into the first and at 9:27 into the third.

Alliston forced Siskins' goalies to work between the pipes, ripping 53 shots and forcing 44 saves. Luke Aulthouse made 34 stops and Trevor Bloch made 10. The Hornets' goal total was higher than their season average. Alliston averages 5.3 goals per game.

Alliston additionally got points from Devon Gillham, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Jordan Schwartz, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Alliston included John Gage, who had two and Jackson Arcan and Jacob Tuck, who each put in one. In addition, Alliston received assists from Payton Dunlop, who had two, Matt Taylor, who had three, and Will Ferguson, Joe Cochrane, Brady Martin, Nick Arcan, Andrew Ceolin, and Mackenzie Flewelling, who contributed one each.

Stayner excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

The Siskins were helped by Sean Healy, who finished with one goal. Healy scored on the power play 4:02 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Stayner had gotten the advantage when the Hornets' Gianluca Pallotta was sent off for holding stick. Ricky Darrell picked up the assist. Lucas Jeffery also scored for Stayner. Other players who recorded assists for Stayner were Kyle Lafreniere and Isaac Swanton, who each chipped in one.

Tyler Brindle rejected 14 shots on goal for Alliston. The Hornets incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Siskins incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
