Stayner beats Orillia 5-3 as Healy gets hat trick

A hat trick by Sean Healy was the highlight in Siskins' 5-3 win against the Orillia Terriers.

Healy notched his first tally 17:16 into the second period. He then added goals at 18:51 into the second and at 19:52 into the third.

The Stayner Siskins stifled Orillia's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Stayner forced the Terriers goalie Gordie Weiss to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots.

Others who scored for Stayner included Jackson Clarke and Trevor Franklin, who scored one goal each. More assists for Stayner came via Ricky Darrell, who had two and Dakota Hynes, Austin Hamilton, Keenan McLaen-Hill, and Isaac Swanton, who contributed one each.

The Siskins were unable to stop Orillia from sending pucks towards the net, and the Terriers eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

Orillia was led by Mike Barroso, who had two goals. Barroso scored the first of his two goals at 3:20 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Stayner. Mathew White assisted on the tally. Barroso's next tally made the score 3-2 Stayner with 2:01 left in the second period. Matt Vince picked up the assist. Kyle Fischer also scored for Orillia. In addition, Orillia received assists from Jason Binnie, who had one.

Stayner's Trevor Bloch stopped 31 shots out of the 34 that he faced. The Siskins incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Weiss rejected 37 shots on goal for the Terriers. Orillia incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
