The Midland Flyers and the Orillia Terriers skate to 5-5 (OT) tie

Francesco Corona banged in two goals and Jake Walter also chipped in one point, but Midland still tied Orillia, 5-5 (OT).

The Terriers were unable to stop the Flyers from sending pucks towards the net, and Midland eventually piled up 60 shots on goal. The Flyers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.

Midland also got points from Corey DeRose, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Midland also got a goal from Curtis Anderson as well. More assists for Midland came via Hayden Stewart, who had one, Evan Buehler, who had three, and Tully Jackson and Matt Schieck, who contributed two each.

Orillia's offense rang up 38 shots on Midland's net. The Terriers' goal total was higher than their season average. Orillia averages 2.5 goals per game.

The Terriers were led by Mathew White, who registered two goals and one assist. White scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 9:46 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Orillia. Orillia had taken the advantage when the Flyers' Schieck got sent off for holding. Denny Benson picked up the assist. White's next tally on the power play made the score 4-3 Orillia with 13:05 left in the third period. Others who scored for Orillia included Jason Binnie, Taylor Fischer, and Adam Arsenault, who scored one goal each. In addition, Orillia received assists from Gordie Weiss, Shane Carroll, and Matt Vince, who each chipped in one.

Jake Norton recorded 33 saves for Midland. The Flyers registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Midland ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Tyler Simmons was ejected from the game. The Terriers' Weiss stopped 55 shots out of the 60 that he faced. Orillia incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
