The Penetang Kings and the Alliston Hornets skate to 2-2 (OT) tie

Penetang and Alliston could not settle their match and fought to a 2-2 tie.

The Hornets were unable to stop the Kings from sending pucks towards the net, and Penetang eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.

The Kings were helped by Braeden Dorion, who grabbed one goal. Dorion scored 8:21 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Penetang. Aidan Robitaille picked up the assist. Penetang also got a goal from Ben Sly as well. Other players who recorded assists for Penetang were Matt Meher and Caleb Stephens, who contributed one each.

Alliston stifled Penetang's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Hornets could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Alliston puts an average of 5.2 pucks into the net per game. The Hornets forced the Kings goalie Andrew North to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots.

Alliston was helped by Jordan Schwartz, who racked up one goal. Schwartz scored 10:57 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Mackenzie Flewelling provided the assist. Brady Martin also scored for Alliston. In addition, Alliston received assists from Joe Cochrane and John Gage, who each chipped in one.

North rejected 36 shots on goal for Penetang. The Kings incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Hornets' Mike Masucci stopped 33 shots out of the 35 that he faced. Alliston incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
