Alliston rolls over Midland, 9-3

The Alliston Hornets were firing on all cylinders against the Midland Flyers, and when the final buzzer sounded Hornets emerged with a 9-3 win.

Brady Martin was all over the ice for Alliston, as he tallied one goal and three assists in the win. Martin scored 2:32 into the second period to make the score 4-1 Alliston. Joe Cochrane picked up the assist.

The Hornets forced Midland's goaltenders to work in net, getting 37 shots and forcing 28 saves. Jake Norton made 13 stops and Derek Haourt (APM) made 15. Alliston found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Hornets average 5.3 goals per game.

Alliston additionally got points from Jackson Arcan, who also tallied one goal and two assists, Stephen Nosad, who also had one goal and one assist, and Mackenzie Flewelling, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Alliston also got a goal from Devon Gillham as well. In addition, Alliston received assists from Mitch Livingston, Will Ferguson, Gianluca Pallotta, Jacob Tuck, Andrew Ceolin, and Jordan Schwartz, who contributed one each.

The Flyers were led by Hayden Stewart, who registered two goals. Stewart scored the first of his two goals at 8:23 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Alliston. Jared Aube assisted on the tally. Stewart's next tally made the score 8-2 Alliston with 2:02 left in the third period. Matt McGrath provided the assist. Evan Buehler also scored for Midland. More assists for Midland came via Noah Bray, Francesco Corona, Matt Schieck, and Jake Walter, who each chipped in one.

Tyler Brindle made 21 saves for Alliston on 24 shots. The Hornets incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Midland incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
