Alliston blows out Orillia, 7-2New Tecumseth Rec Centre Fri, Dec 18, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Alliston Hornets were firing on all cylinders against the Orillia Terriers, and when the final buzzer sounded Hornets emerged with a 7-2 win. Alliston got the win with help from a great game by Mackenzie Flewelling, who had two goals and one assist. Flewelling scored the first of his two goals at 1:34 into the second period to make the score 4-0 Alliston. Joe Cochrane picked up the assist. Flewelling's next tally made the score 7-2 Alliston with 12:06 left in the third period. Ryan Lewis provided the assist. The Hornets put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Orillia to score on any of its four power plays. Alliston forced the Terriers goalie Kayle Campbell to work between the pipes, taking 45 shots. Alliston also got points from Jacob Tuck, who also registered one goal and one assist and Nick Arcan, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Alliston included Devon Gillham, Ryan Sallows, and Brady Martin, who scored one goal each. In addition, Alliston received assists from Mitch Livingston, Stephen Nosad, Braydon Hogarth, John Gage, and Matt Hamilton, who contributed one each. Tyler Brindle made 19 saves for the Hornets on 21 shots. Alliston incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Campbell rejected 38 shots on goal for Orillia. The Terriers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
