The Stayner Siskins tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Caledon Golden Hawks would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-4. A goal by Christian Mariconda put Caledon up 5-3 in the third period, but Stayner pulled to within one on Kyle Paulitzki's tally 19:53 into the third period. Mariconda had two goals to lead the Golden Hawks to victory. Caledon forced Siskins' goaltenders to work between the pipes, ripping 33 shots and forcing 28 saves. Trevor Bloch made 11 stops and Sean Caulfield made 17. Caledon also got points from Nicholas McNutt, who also registered one goal and one assist and Daniel Cafagna, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Caledon also got a goal from Ryan Mouser as well. More assists for Caledon came via Tyler Whitten, Colby Shatilla, and Seamus ONeil, who each chipped in one and Matt Magliozzi and James Pitsadiotis, who contributed two each. Others who scored for Stayner included Kyle Sickinger, Ricky Darrell, and Jordan Taylor, who each put in one. In addition, Stayner received assists from Mike McGuire, Griffin Pearce, Kort Weir, and Sean Healy, who each chipped in one. Sam Procopio recorded 23 saves for the Golden Hawks. Caledon incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Siskins incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
