The Caledon Golden Hawks tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Orillia Terriers held on for a 5-4 victory. Orillia made the score 5-2 on a goal by Mathew White at 15:32 in the second period, and Caledon got as close as 5-4 when Daniel Cafagna scored 12:58 into the third period. The Terriers got the win on the strength of a great game by Jason Binnie, who had two goals and two assists. Binnie scored the first of his two goals at 17:46 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Mike Barroso picked up the assist. Binnie's next tally made the score 3-2 Orillia with 16:42 left in the second period. White provided the assist. Orillia forced the Golden Hawks' goalies to work between the pipes, launching 39 shots and forcing 34 saves. Sam Procopio made 19 stops and Brendan Macham made 15. The Terriers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Caledon power plays. Orillia bested its season scoring average. The Terriers average 2.4 goals per game. Orillia also got points from White, who also registered one goal and three assists to lead the team in points and Barroso, who also registered one goal and one assist. Adam Arsenault also scored for Orillia. More assists for Orillia came via Shane Carroll and Ben Garrett, who contributed one each. Caledon forced Terriers' goaltenders to work all game long, taking 33 shots and forcing 29 saves. Gordie Weiss made 27 stops and Kayle Campbell made two. Caledon also had goals scored by Randy Chen, Nicholas McNutt, and Colby Shatilla, who scored one goal each. In addition, Caledon received assists from Christian Mariconda, who had one and Kevin Pleasance, who had two. Orillia incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Golden Hawks incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
