Blunt's goals lift Penetang to 4-1 victory over Midland

Behind a great game by Dallin Blunt, who had two goals, the Penetang Kings defeated the Midland Flyers, 4-1.

Blunt scored at 16:24 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Penetang and again while 19:26 into the third to make the score 4-1 Penetang.

Penetang also had goals scored by Braeden Dorion and Aidan Robitaille, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Penetang were Michael Paul, who had two and Callan Heins, Nick Heins, Nate Archer, Ben Sly, and Matt Cochrane, who each chipped in one.

Midland was held below its usual level of production. The Flyers put an average of 3.6 pucks into the net per game.

Midland was led by Francesco Corona, who scored the team's only goal. Corona scored on the power play 12:10 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Midland. The Flyers had taken the advantage when Penetang's Matt Meher got sent off for roughing after whistle. Matt Schieck assisted on the tally.

The Kings incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Midland incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
