The Orillia Terriers survived a determined comeback attempt by the Penetang Kings on the way to a 6-5 win. Orillia made the score 6-3 on a goal by Mike Barroso at 11:25 in the third period, and Penetang got as close as 6-5 when Michael Paul scored 14:14 into the third period. Barroso had one goal and three assists to lead the Terriers. Orillia forced Kings' goalies to work between the pipes, finishing with 34 shots and forcing 28 saves. Andrew North made 20 stops and Hunter Ferguson made eight. The Terriers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Penetang power plays. Orillia outdid its season average for goals scored. The Terriers average 2.6 goals per game. Orillia also got points from Mathew White, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. Orillia also got a goal from Taylor Fischer as well. In addition, Orillia received assists from Jason Binnie, who had two and Jared Orr, Denny Benson, Konnor Blimke, Brady Hubbard, and Matt Vince, who each chipped in one. The Kings' offense rang up 38 shots on Orillia's net. Penetang was led by Michael Greco, who finished with one goal and two assists. Greco scored 4:46 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Penetang. Matt Cochrane picked up the assist. Penetang additionally got points from Matt Meher, who also registered one goal and one assist. Penetang also had goals scored by Callan Heins and Braeden Dorion, who each put in one. More assists for Penetang came via Brad Kuepfer and Dallin Blunt, who contributed one each and Dustin Moore and Nate Archer, who each chipped in two. Gordie Weiss rejected 33 shots on goal for the Terriers. Orillia incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Kings incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Penetang ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Caleb Stephens was ejected from the game.
