The Stayner Siskins relied on the scoring touch of Lucas Jeffery, who netted two goals, to beat the Orillia Terriers, 2-1.

Jeffery scored at 14:43 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Stayner and again while 16:18 into the second to make the score 2-1 Stayner.

Stayner was led by goalie Tyler Atkinson, who finished with 28 saves while allowing one goal. Atkinson managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.04 prior to the game.

The Siskins' offense rang up 48 shots on Orillia's net.

Other players who recorded assists for Stayner were Sean Healy, who had two and Lucas Ryerse and Ricky Darrell, who contributed one each.

The Terriers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Orillia was led by Mike Barroso, who scored the team's only goal. Barroso scored 16:46 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Jason Binnie provided the assist.

Stayner incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Gordie Weiss recorded 46 saves for the Terriers. Orillia incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
