The North Kawartha Knights tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Little Britain Merchants held on for a 4-3 victory. A goal by Terry Snoddon put Little Britain up 4-2 in the third period, but North Kawartha pulled to within one on Shane Patterson's tally 19:07 into the third period. Snoddon had a great game for the Merchants, netting two goals. Little Britain forced the Knights goalie Spencer Green to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots. The Merchants excelled on the penalty kill, only allowing North Kawartha to get one power play goal on 13 chances. Little Britain could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 50 minutes in penalties during the game. Others who scored for Little Britain included Jordan Sharp and Hayden Long, who each put in one. In addition, Little Britain received assists from Owen Fawns, Kenzie Smith, Derek Risebrough, Jesse Beers, Reed Westington, and Adam Harris, who contributed one each. The Knights' offense rang up 38 shots on the Merchants' net. North Kawartha could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game. North Kawartha also got points from Justin Thain, who also had one goal and one assist. North Kawartha also got a goal from Shawn Brown as well. Adam Harris made 35 saves for Little Britain on 38 shots. The Merchants registered two goals on six power play opportunities. Green recorded 35 saves for the Knights.
